Cow Parade Figurines: London, European Cows
Beginning ten years ago in the city of Zurich, Switzerland under the name Land in Sicht, or Countryside in View, the Cow Parade has become famous not only all across Europe, but all around the world. Cities from six continents have embraced the cow sculpture project and created their own unique exhibits. While the original idea, introduced by Walter Knapp, has been maintained in a majority of the exhibit cities, some others have added an extra element of culture by using different base sculptures, including guitars, frogs, pandas and ponies. Yet the most popular medium today still remains to be the standing cow from the Cow Parade. Featured below are some of the most widely enjoyed cows from the European exhibits. |
