We’ve got some exciting new additions to our collection of Karen Hahn ornaments, just in time for the holidays. There are several new inspirational items to choose from this season.
One of my personal favorites is the Silent Night Woodland Nativity ornament.

For me this conjures up the spirit of the holiday season. It has an enchanting nativity scene on the front, and a landscape on the opposite side. I love the sense of peace it inspires.
Another new ornament worth mentioning is Karen Hahn’s Angel with Star.

This ornament has an elegant angel reaching to the heavens. It includes stars and a carved out feel.

Unique Alley Cats are both stylish and elegant. These aren’t your average kitty’s!
Being a skier myself and having a love for the outdoors, one of my favorites is the Daisy Water Skiing Figurine. Daisy strikes a pose as she glides easily over the water.

Another figurine I am particularly fond of is the Little Rude Riding Hood figurine. She reminds me of one of my favorite childhood stories with a twist of attitude!

These charming pups come in just about every style and outfit you can imagine! Quite a few new Hot Diggitys have just become available recently as our collection continues to grow. What are your favorites?
One of our new dogs is the Hot Diggity Spicy Dog. I think he brings some zest to the table, and even has words on him exclaiming “Hot!”, “Spicy!”, “Picante!”, and “Caliente!” He stays cool with a stylish pair of sunglasses and his own sombrero.

I personally enjoy the creative Happy Birthday Cake topper. It features an adorable dachshund ready to party, with reusable spaces for six candles.

Sculptor and creator of Speed Freaks Terry Ross has done an amazing job depicting motion in his still figurines. His unique technique allows him to bring the feeling of a vehicle moving at incredible speeds into his work. We are excited to have several new items!

This car is a perfect example of Terry ross capturing the essence of speed. You can see the wheels bending under the force of the car racing furiously.

As for his motorcycle racing figurines, they show no sign of slowing down either. This racer is almost parallel with the pavement as he careens around a corner!

There is something for every kind of feline lover in our Cat Figurine section. Various different artists display their interpretations and appreciation of these engaging creatures.

The Curiosity Cat from the Jim Shore Angel Collection embodies his style of injecting humor and personality into his creations. Made of stone resin and hand painted, this kitty looks ready to investigate the world despite his angel wings and halo!

These charming salt and pepper shakers from our Mwah! collection add an appealing touch to any dinner table. I particularly enjoy their matching blue eyes and cheerful expressions.

When designing the Foundations collection, Karen imagined each piece as “a gift of inspiration.” She chose to write messages directly on her drawings, giving each figurine an individual meaning. Karen said, “I was looking for a method where a consumer could pick up a gift and have the story right in their hand.” With her thoughtful process and natural talent, Karen has truly become one of the industry’s most gifted artists.

We are excited to have just received her guardian angels, the newest additions to her angel line. I am especially inspired by her Guardian of Pets angel. It is inscribed with the sentence, “Protect those who cannot protect themselves.” It brings me thoughts of the unique relationship between humans and animals, and is a beautiful symbol of that dedication.

We’ve recently announced some fantastic news for all of our horse collecting friends! If you’re on the Music City Cards and Gifts email list, then you’ve already learned about the 2011 Summer Release of Painted Ponies. For those of you that may not have heard, and for all of the equine enthusiasts out there, we’d like to take a few moments to introduce you to the newest studs joining the Trail. We’re very excited about these new additions!

Appaloosa Peacock
This majestic pony is depicted in a reared back position, and has become one with a stunning, vividly colored peacock. Note how the artist uses striking hues and bold patterns on the peacock, and how it flows beautifully together with this regal horse. Combined, they bring to life the Appaloosa Peacock.

Peace, Love & Music
This Pony is all about the power of pop art! Strong, vibrant colors and swirling shapes blend together as perfectly as rainbows while artfully incorporating the icons we tend to associate with peace, love & music. Hearts, musical notes, doves, and even a peace sign on its hind quarters adorn this spectacularly colored Peace, Love & Music Pony.

Rites of Passage
The Rites of Passage Pony tells the sacred story of girls becoming knowledgeable young women and boys evolving into responsible young men through powerful First Nation colors and symbols. Note the vivid green color used throughout the body of this pony, along with the multitude of scenery depicted along its side.

Westward Ho
With items collected from his odyssey, this pony retraces the journey west to California to start a new life with the cry, Westward Ho! Adding to the design theme is that the base is styled to resemble the top side of an old-fashioned luggage trunk. Inspiring nostalgia, this pony may just urge you to take a trip of your own!
These four new, beautiful ponies are currently available for presale and are due to be released on August 1st, 2011. Come on over to Music City Cards and Gifts and pre-order your set of 4 today!

If someone asked you where you find inspiration, what would your answer be? Is it a quote that’s always moved you? A piece of literature, a photograph? Or perhaps a person in your life that has always been there for you? Of course it doesn’t have to be found in just one place, one thing or even one person. In fact,
www.dictionary.com defines inspiration as, “stimulation or arousal of the mind, feelings, etc, to special or unusual activity or creativity”.
At Music City Cards and Gifts, we believe in the necessity of everyday inspiration. One of our most cherished products, in fact, are our spiritual wall scrolls. This sizeable selection of wall hangings vary in size from approximately two and a half to four feet in length, and each bears a different inspirational message by such notable figures as the Dalai Lama and Mahatma Gandhi. Here are a few of our favorites:

Change - Gandhi
This wall hanging features a quote by Gandhi: “We must be the change we wish to see in the world”. This wall scroll is made of 100% Indonesian cotton and measures 32″ x 16″.

Laugh ~Mary Ann Radmacher
It has often been said that laughter is the best medicine. And so the author here offers some simple but meaningful wisdom: “Live boldly, Laugh loudly, Play as often as you can”. Also made of 100% Indonesian cotton, this wall scroll measures 48″ x 16″.

Happiness - Buddha
We think this would be a great wall hanging for the office! Here, Buddha says: “Success is not the key to Happiness, Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, You will be successful”. This wall scroll is made of 100% Indonesian cotton and measures 48″ x 16″.
Not only would these spiritual wall scrolls make a lovely addition to your home, they would also make a wonderful, thoughtful gift to someone that inspires you. Come by and see our entire selection today!
